auntie tawni

tawni, brad's sister, has a special spot for faye- she was here when she was born!!
last year she had a softball tournament in costa mesa. i was still HUGE and WAY overdue and pregnant. we thought for sure by the time she got here the baby would be born... but not so! we met her at disneyland friday night for dinner and talked about how we wanted faye to to come already!
saturday brad & i got up & ready for a loooong walk & then headed to the hospital saturday afternoon. brad's mom picked up tawni from the hotel she was staying at with the team & they all waited at the hospital while i was in labor. she slept on the floor of the waiting room until little faye came at 2 AM. she got to see her when she was like 20 minutes old!! really cool.
so she was here again this weekend for the same tournament, so we planned faye's party so she could be here for it! we got to go cheer at her games and have her stay at our house with Brad's dad. We even all got Patten University gear!!
She was all passed out after lots of cheering and fresh air at the game!
Faye & Tawni are bffs- i love it.

Eating the Cake!!

She doesn't know what's happening!
 First taste of frosting!
 And let the shoving begin!!
You picked off all the white chocolate pick circles. You loved them.
 Success!!!
you are awesome.  the end.

Faye 12 months

We tried to take a cute picture. You did not cooperate. It turned into a play with balloons-fest.
I love you!

ONE YEAR!!!!

FAYE!!!!
YOU ARE ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!
Goodness that went fast. Seriously so so so fast.
You still wear 12 month size clothes. Your feet are still size 2. You have awesome highlights in your hair of dark and light, so the jury is still out for what color it will finally decide to be. You eat mostly everything but are starting to be picky. You stubbornly purse your little lips. You get excited to eat rice like we are giving you cake. It's hilarious. You WALK. So fast, it's crazy. You sing and dance to ANY music. You fold your arms to pray(most adorable thing EVER). You say Hi and Mama. An occasional Dada, and lots of LALALALALAS! You click your tongue and make any sounds you can with your mouth- popping, smacking, clicking. You think it's funny. You say "Weeeeeeeee!" when you are swinging or sliding or spinning around or when we throw you in the air.
You do things we ask like "pick up Oskie and give him to Daddy" and know exactly what we are saying. You pick up things from the carpet and now (well most of the time) instead of eating them you walk over and give them to me. It's AWESOME. You eat paper. I think it's weird.
You smile all big and cheesy with your 6 little teeth.  You high five and blow kisses. You wave bye-bye and give contact (pointer finger to pointer finger like E.T.) and give HUGE big hugs & kisses. You like to quickly pull my lip so it makes a popping sound. You think Peekaboo is the greatest thing ever. You sing to hymns in church and jabber all day long. You wear your backpack everyday to Rina's now- your mom makes you carry your own diapers, wipes and cup! haha! You like lots of stuffed animals, but you know the difference and wont snuggle to sleep with anyone but Oskie.
You have a personality. You are crazy and fun and happy but mostly still calm. You throw fits but we just ignore you and you stop after you realize its not working. You play by yourself with your toys most of the time, but are wanting our attention more than ever before. You put your foot up so we can put on your shoes. For some reason I think this is pure brilliance on your part. You like to carry around a piece of paper and a pen and pretend to write. I don't know how or where you picked that up, but it's great.

We had a bonfire as your birthday party. Lots of friends & family came. We ate about a million hot dogs and Grandma Judd made you a white & pink polka dot cake. You seemed to enjoy the bonfire even tho it was a bit cold & windy. On your actual birthday we let you eat some more of it & you just picked off the white chocolate pink circles and only kinda ate the cake. I actually stayed home with you on your birthday and you basically just slept all day! You were worn out from all the partying all weekend with your family.
You are one big barrel of fun and we love you SOOOO much!! Keep on being you- your are awesome!

Fairy Faye

For her birthday my mom gave Faye a Hello Kitty toothbrush from the dollar store and a Leapfrog animal barn thing that makes sounds and is magnetic for the fridge. Her two new FAVORITE things! She's been walking & waving the toothbrush around like a wand. She's awesome.
(p.s. her outfit i think is so cute, if i do say myself. She had a big bow & early ponytail too. It's all about the stripey leggings.)

clean baby

most nights brad does the bath & nighttime rituals since he doesn't get to see faye very much. her favorite time of day i think is when she is playing in the bath.

Baby Hudson!

our friends coco & brandon just had their first baby. oh gosh i LOVE HIM. he is the sweetest little munchkin. i could have held him all night!!

Auntie Tawni RARARA

auntie tawni's college softball team had a game down in fullerton so daddy and faye got to go. she LOVED IT. she got the cheer & clap with all the fans, play in dirt and run around. tawni made her a shirt and bought her a tutu. super cute!

oh ya, i walk!

Wednesday Feb 1st I decided to walk! I just decided that instead of always needing to be coaxed to take steps I would just start off on my own! Video is coming soon!
(two weeks after starting on her own she is SO FAST! she runs away. it's hilarious.)

11 Months!

Fee Fi Fo Faye,

Holy cow, this month has been crazy. Ever since Christmas, you have become a little girl. Not like my baby.. but almost a toddler. You refuse to walk, tho. I know you can. I've seen you take steps. I think what happened is you tried for so long and then just gave up bc crawling was faster. I can appreciate that.

You just comprehend more. I can tell. It's crazy! You hold bottles, drink milk on occassion, started being picky about food, and throwing fits. You understand getting the car/eating/bed/books/toys/getting your way. You know exactly when you have something you aren't supposed to (remotes/phones) or are eating something off the floor. As soon as we say "Faye, what do you have?" you RUN AWAY. you take off with the object, or clench your jaw. Trixies hobbitsies.

You still wear all the same clothes. 9-12 month. You have gotten rounder, but not longer. Your tiny feet still barely fit into size 2s. Your hair is getting longer tho, and your long pieces at the top are SUPER funny. They have black/brown ends, then brown, then blondie roots. They are too long to put into a regular pony, they look silly. I am not ready to cut your hair, tho. There's no point yet.

You now have TWO words in your aresenal. The newest is BUG. You have these bath toys grandma wendy gave you that are butterflies/beetles, etc. so I've been teaching you BUG. You try SOOO hard to say it. Everyonce & a while it comes out perfect. "Bug." Other times it comes out as "Gub" or "Buh."

You've started doing this CRAZY smile. You scrunch up your nose and eyes & smile all huge & goofy. It.is.a.hoot. I don't know where you learned that, but i think it is from your "sister" lupe at the sitter's house.

I understand this month why there is a song called "I'm so glad when daddy comes home" bc as soon as he walks in the door from work you are ALL LOVE. It's very very cute. We play the "kissing game" and daddy picks you up and kisses you then mommy and then she kisses daddy and then you kiss us both. It's cheesy, but it's one of my favorite moments, when our little family of three all hug and kiss and love each other.

You got another tooth this month- making the count 6! I kinda miss your crooked smile, but I'm sure by the horrid grumpiness of the last couple days, #7 is coming!!

Oh yeah, we turned your seat around in the car so you face forward. Maybe a tad "early" but honestly, it's been AWESOME. Daddy can drive and actually put the seat back and you are happier looking at where we are driving. Also, wiping a snotty nice is easier when you can see it. :)

You rock. We love you.
Love, Mom
