i shall now call you "drooley"

last night:
i was falling asleep in the couch.
brad was going to a late softball game.
he got a drink of koolaid.
picked up his stuff, leaned over the couch to kiss my cheek goodbye and then as he pulled away...
he DROOLED ON MY FACE.
gross.
brad was laughing really hard.
i wasn't. (until later when the disgust & shock were over- then it was hilarious)
would you???

lesson learned

one thing i fear bradley & i never will agree on is movies. very few shimmy our shakes & twiddle our thumbs the same. very very few. i am definitely the more picky one. i admit it.
once in albertson's a few years ago- i saw a dandy $8 double feature dvd with these two lovelies:

both i love. family. clean. happy. "magical". both are not multimillion bajillion dollars flicks. more like "at that random theatre in town" flicks. so naturally, i bought it.

being in the mood for something different, and the rain making my bones ache for a great britain winter... i convinced brad he wanted to watch The Secret of Roan Inish. Irish flute music, beautiful scenery, a magical tale- what can go wrong?
.
i spent the next 2 hours, nay 3, until he went to sleep, listening to brad repeat everything i said in a bad irish accent.
we're never watching whale rider together- he'll probably follow me around our house doing the haka.

Let's Celebrate a Birth

"i'm old. old and fat."
"don't call my husband old."

brad and i were meant to be- wanna know why??
my bday is 11-01 and his is 01-11.
match made in heaven, we are ;)
last night we had a small shindig at our house. friends. food. a sparkly house that i'm proud to say every inch has been cleaned or dusted saturday or sunday.

add his family coming to surprise brad and a perfectly prepared raspberry swirl cheesecake made by his wifey and you have the perfect little early b-day celebration for my 31 year old husband. :) so easy to please, that brad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRADLEY! :)

"you were not the same after that"

here i am listening to ben folds. heralding the end of the day and excited to be home!
one thing i forgot to mention is that we just got a fridge this week.
no big deal.

(we've been married 51 days now and we just got a fridge. let this sink in. and then don't let my feigning apathy fool you. i'm so excited.)

we used to just use this:

which severely limits the kinds of food you purchase and cook- bc you can't have leftovers and nothing can be frozen.
but now we have THIS:

and not only do things stay cold, things get frozen, and it cost less than a tank of gas in a honda civic, it also came with THIS:

love it. well, we are Christians right? hilarious. its a sticker. not a magnet. it won't come off. ha.
